The Eastern Missouri NSDA Committee will have our next planning session for the Eastern Missouri NSDA District Tournament Series (Congress on Feb. 21st, Speech & Debate on March 5th - 7th) this Thursday. This is where we'll be making a number of logistical decisions for the tournament - our agenda is huge! - including two major one's where we've solicited your feedback:
- The use of the Pilot Evidence Rules in LD, PUF, and/or CX
- The implementation of the World Schools Debate program
Information and links to the surveys can be found on this website. We will extend the deadline for feedback until next Tuesday evening. After that, I'll be turning off the surveys so that the five of us have time to review responses in advance of our meeting.
Let me know if you have any questions!
PS. As a note to our new coaches, the pilot evidence rules and the World Schools Debate decisions do NOT impact the MSHSAA District Tournament on February 27th - 28th (for those in the St. Louis District). MSHSAA and NSDA are two separate organizations and tournaments and even have separate physical boundaries for schools that fall "in the district." All questions regarding the St. Louis MSHSAA District Tournament should be directed to our MSHSAA District Chair - Michael Hachmeister at Parkway South.
